Push for Tax-Free Status in Maharashtra
The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has formally requested Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to declare Chhaava tax-free in the state. The organization believes the film’s portrayal of the Maratha warrior’s legacy should reach a wider audience. “The legacy and courage of this great Maratha king should be known to future generations. Our government strongly believes in ‘Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitah,’ and this movie embodies that sentiment,” read FWICE’s appeal to the Chief Minister.

Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava features an ensemble cast that has been lauded for its powerful performances.
